Get to know the monster crab of the seas - a true Arctic phenomenon and a supreme delicacy when served. Say hello to this iconic creature as you join our experienced crab fisher on an authentic hunt aboard a comfortable expedition cruiser.
Come aboard from 09:30 AM and sail at 10:00 AM into the dark Arctic fjords where the crab thrives. Guided by a skilled king crab fisher, this hands-on experience offers insight into traditional Arctic fishing and the unique life beneath cold northern waters.
Program:
Guests gather in the main saloon 09:30 AM where we tell about the hunt and the history of the crab & the cruise. You will be given hot overalls to wear and further instructions before going to the outdoor deck, and we go to the king crab fields where we catch and drag in the pots with todays catch.
After hauling in the crabs its big picture time before the crab is cooked to perfection and we get to taste.
This cruise can also be taken as a leisure discovering the wildlife & nature.

Close to Tromsø’s main entertainment square www.vervet.no and the city centre, this crab fisher experience is docked in a peaceful and friendly location at Fridtjof Nansens Plass 4, out on the pier, 9008 Tromsø (69°39'14.7"N 18°58'12.4"E) - where the famous Arctic expeditions start and where the legendary monster crab journey begins.
If you walk further across the bridge, you’ll find the Arctic Cathedral and the gondola that brings you to the top of the mountain. The pier is within walking distance from all hotels and places in the city centre, making it easy to join our king crab fisher for this unique Arctic experience.
